Menu for March 16-22
Sunday: I have no idea what we ate for dinner. I cannot remember for the life of me.
Monday: Buffalo Chicken Meatloaf with sweet potato hash
Tuesday: Taco Salad
Wednesday: McDonalds... family road trip
Thursday: Carbonara, after spending the evening in the ER. Quickest meal ever.
Friday: Mac&Cheese with Chicken. I had a wonderful meal planned with homemade mac & cheese and cooked chicken breast. Then because of a death in the family everything fell apart so we had Kraft mac&cheese and organic chicken nuggets... :)
Saturday: Funeral dinner
I also cleaned my deep freezer.. I have a pizza casserole and a lasagna casserole from my "Third Trimester Freezer Cooking" in 2012! How freezer burnt do you think they are? :)

Menu for March 9-15
Another menu plan! But this one is for last week. I decided it's probably better to share what we ACTUALLY ate instead of what I planned on feeding everyone... because between work and pregnancy, I rarely do anything creative with dinner.
Sunday: We ordered pizza.
Monday: We had hoagies from a Cub Scout fundraiser.
Tuesday: Pizza, again, for a very special young man's birthday!
Wednesday: Lasagna at church.
Thursday: Clean Enchiladas... Chris had seconds and packed three for lunch but I think all three came home and I haven't had a chance to ask what happened. So, I'm not sure if these were a hit or not. I do have three extra jars of the homemade enchilada sauce and it smelled amazing.
Friday: General Tso's Chicken with rice and veggies
Saturday: Eggplant Parmesan with the ladies while our men are at the Father & Son banquet at church.
We're trying to eat cleaner to get Chris ready for his juice fast. And, I'm excited for spring veggies!!

Menu for February 17 - 21
Monday: BBQ Chicken & tatertots. I usually do this in the crockpot but I'm not sure what time I'll be home so I will just do it in the oven. The chicken is already thawed and I'm afraid it will cook too fast in the crockpot.
Tuesday: Chicken Parmesan. Straight from my Better Homes & Gardens cookbook. This is a favorite at our house - served over spaghetti.
Wednesday: Hoagies from a fundraiser. We have church so it's a nice convenience meal for us!
Thursday: Pot Roast with veggies in the crock pot. If I have a lot of eggs left at this point I'll make Yorkshire Pudding and gravy to go with it.
Friday: Leftovers. I'm not sure if Chris will be home or not. I typically just snack if he's not.

Menu for December 9 - 15
Slacking is an understatement when describing my life lately. I've let everything go at one point or another the last few months. Cooking, dishes, laundry, volunteer work, exercising, friends... yes, people, it was bad.
I'm sorting things back out. Last week we caught up on all of the laundry! This weekend I was out of town for a day so I have some serious "tidying up" to do... then I have to put our Christmas tree up. It's ready. It's even in the corner where it belongs. But it's still in the box. It's on my list, people.
So, we've been busy. And there is no end in sight. I am doing a "clean eating challenge" this week but I will probably have to spread it over two weeks because of all of our special events. I only get the menu two days at a time, so I'll update when I find out what I'm making!!
Monday: Pizza Party at Scouts
Tuesday: Garlic and Tomato Pasta with Chicken & steamed veggies (I will be the only one eating veggies, I'm sure)
Wednesday: Turkey Burgers with Lettuce Wrap (boys will eat regular burgers with buns)
Thursday: ??
Friday: Christmas Party
Saturday: Christmas Tea Party
Sunday: Out with family

Menu for September 8 - 14
I haven't shared our new routine yet, because I'm still getting used to it.
I have been learning about the Getting Things Done system, through Mind Organization for Moms (from Power of Moms). I'm really excited to set up my system and get everything organized, but I have to wait until I'm done painting on the first floor... because right now there is no furniture!!
Until then... This is what we eat:
Breakfasts: I eat toast with butter and honey (fresh honey from my uncles bees). I've also started taking vitamins in the morning. Right now I take vitamin B complex, B12, and biotin. Landon drinks a chocolate protein shake in the recommended child-sized portion. Raegan has a banana, a few grapes, and a few slices of bread.
Lunches: We all eat lunch away from home. Usually it's leftovers.
Dinner--
Sunday: Dinner with family
Monday: Cheeseburger Meatloaf with tatertots
Tuesday: Pork Roast
Wednesday: Rosemary Porkchops with mashed potatoes
Thursday: Tacos and salads
Friday: Chicken and dumplings
Saturday: Freezer Pizza and salads

Menu for September 1-7
I did it! I stuck to my menu plan! Even on the weekend!
I've been trying some time management strategies from Getting Things Done, and I really think it's helping. My brain feels much less overloaded! Part of that is also overcommitment... which I am also still working on. :-)
Last week we ate all of our favorites, because I didn't cook all summer. The theme continues...Here's our menu:
Sunday: Picnic with family
Monday: Labor Day Picnic, and Chicken Alfredo
Tuesday: Ham and Bows
Wednesday: Chicken Teriaki with rice
Thursday: Pot Roast with Popovers
Friday: Salad (I like mine with grapes, apples, cranberries, chicken and bleu cheese)
Saturday: Taco Bake
Some of these are "new" because I haven't shared the recipes yet. But I will try to take pictures in the kitchen this week and share those recipes soon!

Menu for August 26 - 31
Yay for menu plans. I barely cooked all summer... because when I was actually home to do it, we had the kitchen such a mess from remodeling that there was no room to cook.
Back to school, back to our routine! Hopefully we finish the dining room before it gets too cold to eat outside.
Monday: Tacos or Taco Salad
Tuesday: Chicken Parmesan with spaghetti
Wednesday: BBQ Chicken in the crockpot with corn
Thursday: General Tso's Chicken with fried rice
Friday: Sandwiches and fruit
Saturday: Buffalo Chicken Meatloaf with tatertots

Menu for February 4 - 10
Yet another week of a late menu plan! Last week I didn't even have a menu plan.. and I thought I was going to lose my mind! I didn't realize how much I rely on these plans to make decisions for me after working all day, when my brain is begging for a break.
This week, we don't have too much going on. Wrestling season is almost over!! Not that we don't like wrestling season, but by February I really miss my husband.
I had a great birthday on Saturday :) I will post pictures sometime this week. I've also been working on something really fun, that I will be sharing in a few weeks!!

Monday: Freezer Pizza
Tuesday: Chicken Parmesan with spaghetti and garlic toast
Wednesday: Pizza before Church
Thursday: BBQ Ribs with tater tots

Menu for December 10 - 16
I have a terrible cold. Sunday night I started to sniffle.. then when I woke up I felt like I was run over by a truck.
We have an insanely busy week, so of course, I'm sick. I am forcing myself to go to work on Monday and Tuesday, then I'm crawling into bed and never coming out again. Not really, because, again, we're insanely busy.
We have something going on every night but Tuesday. We also have an overflowing fridge -- leftovers need to be eaten ASAP. So, there isn't really a menu this week.

Monday: Between Scouts and other meetings, we didn't eat dinner.
Tuesday: Leftovers (I also have some chicken noodle soup in the freezer that I might get out).
Wednesday: Pizza before Church
Thursday: Christmas Party at Church
Friday: Christmas Party at another Church (We have a Sunday church and a Wednesday Church... yay for two parties!)
Saturday: Bowling with Scouts (Pizza)
Sunday: Family Christmas Party
